Happy New Golfing Year

Happy New Golfing Year is a short golf blog post that makes suggestions on what you can do to improve your golf in the New Year. I can’t believe it is that time of the year again. Where did 2023 go? Whether you are glad to see the back of it or not, 2023 is behind us and it’s now time to look ahead to the 2024 season. You can really make a difference this year to your game if you go about it the right way. These are my tips on how to improve your game in 2024. Happy New Golfing Year – Tips to Improve Swing Check Out of 10, How would you rate your golf swing? What is your weakest link? When was the last time that you had a series of lessons? Equipment Check This is the best time of year to give your equipment an MOT. Start by checking and if needed, replacing your grips with new ones. Fitness Check How many seasons have you been promising yourself to get back into fitness? It isn’t that difficult to get on the road to a healthy life and a healthy game. Take a look at my blog… Get Golf Fit in 6 Weeks Diet & Nutrition When talking about fitness, I don’t just mean exercise. You should also be looking at what you eat. The two go hand in hand. The most important step is to accept that you are eating too much unhealthy food & snacks. You don’t need to make drastic changes. Little steps to start with will help you make the larger changes later on. Membership Check If you are a member of a club, Are you getting value for money with your membership? Is it time to change to a different club? Are you playing in competitions? Mental Check How is your mental approach to golf? Are you afraid of the water hazards? Do you keep score during the round? Have you got a Pre-shot routine? Have you got a Post-shot routine? Rules Check When was the last time that you looked at a rule book? It is always good to brush up on the latest changes or just browse through the different situations. Visit a Professional Tournament It is always a great idea to visit a live event. Whether it is local Golf Professionals or International players, you can learn a lot. Pro-Ams are a real good chance to meet players or get photos & autographs. See for yourself how each player approaches their shot. There is no stress to be seen. Watch all of your heroes up close and personal. Golf Holiday If you haven’t already done so, I suggest that you organise a trip with your friends. This will help you to enjoy the game even more. There is nothing better than relaxing with friends after a good game of golf. Check out the possibilities now at Your Golf Travel What are your thoughts on the Happy New Golfing Year?
