The Top 3 Best Pubs in Fife for Golfers is a short golf blog post that answers the question, Where to go after your round of golf?

There are too many clubhouses that are now disappointing as far as food and drink are concerned. So where to? Where should you eat and drink?
The following is a short list of my Top 3 Best Pubs in Fife to go to after you have finished your round of golf.

Planned Courses

Have you planned to play on the Old Course – New Course – Jubilee Course – Eden Course – Strathtyrum Course – Balgove Course – Dukes Course – Torrance Course – Kittocks Course?
If so, then a visit to this place is a must—the home of every VIP who visits St Andrews.

Outside the Jigger Inn

The Jigger Inn, St Andrews

This is the most famous pub connected with golf. Used by every celebrity that ever visits St Andrews.
A typical-looking Scottish pub on the inside but the beer garden has views to die for. The Jigger Inn sits between the Old Course Hotel and the 17th Hole of the Old Course.
The food is OK but the location is fantastic.

The walls of the Jigger Inn are filled with Golfing History.

Planned Courses

When playing Scotscraig GC, Drumoig GC or on your way back to Fife from Carnoustie, Panmure GC or even Monifieth you should stop here.
A great place that has everything from a restaurant, bar, and food trucks in the car park.

Entrance to The Newport

The Newport, Newport on Tay

The Newport is actually one of the finest restaurants in Scotland but it also has a good bar. Outside seating is available with cracking views across the Tay.
A great range of drinks including friendly staff. Pick the right day and you will find a selection of food trucks in the car park with a mini festival atmosphere.

Planned Courses

If you are planning on playing Ladybank GC – Falkland GC – Kinross GC – Cupar GC
The home of The Proclaimers is for you, The Boar’s Head in Auchtermuchty. Stunning food and a great choice of drinks.

The Entrance to The Boar’s Head

The Boar’s Head, Auchtermuchty

Located at the Cross in Auchtermuchty, the pub is very low-key from the outside but inside this place comes to life. The pub has a great tap room and plenty of tables to grab to have something to eat.
The food is excellent but it is recommended to book in advance. Best value for money in Fife.
