The Best Golfing Apps 2.0
20. Juni 2023

The Best Golfing Apps 2.0 is a short golf blog post that looks at the best Apps in golf for Practice, GPS, Coaching and Rules.
I know I have already written something similar to this before but the technology changes so fast. I thought that I really needed to go back to this and have another look.
This time I have come up with selecting, what I believe, are the best Golfing Apps in different categories.
The Best Golfing Apps
The Rules of Golf
R&A – Rules of Golf 2023
Not sure about a rule situation? Don’t worry, this is the perfect app for you. It’s not the only app that explains the rules of golf but it is undoubtedly the best app.
The app has over 30 diagrams and over 50 how-to videos that help explain the rules of golf. It’s an app that every golfer should have on their phone.
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from its users and to be fair, that score should be higher. Used by me so it can’t be bad.
Golf Coaching
Golf Coach
This app was built for coaches and their clients. Enabling great interaction through the use of videos, diagrams and voice recordings. A must for all coaches and their clients to build up a solid relationship.
It can be fully personalised to suit the coach / client and has a great score of 4.8 out of 5.
Golf GPS
Golfshot Plus: Golf GPS
Over 4 million golfers can’t be wrong. This app is like your very own pocket caddie. On-course GPS navigation that analyses your golf swing. 3D videos of the hole that you are playing. Scorecard and live or historical statistics.
Connect with friends and playing partners to send Tee Time invites. Track your health too with the built-in health app.
This is a free app but the more add-ons, the better the app becomes. Well worth the upgrades. Scores 4.7 with its users
Golf Practice
Trackman
Another app that I use. I love this app as it keeps the history of all of my practice sessions. Every time I go to the range my session is recorded.
I can keep up to date with my exact distances. It lets me know my distance range with each club as well as my average.
Ball speed, Club speed, launch angle, spin. The list goes on and on. Well worth downloading and stops you from guessing.
Beware, Trackman doesn’t lie about your distance. Also scores 4.8
