The Alfred Dunhill Links 2025
30. September 2025

The Alfred Dunhill Links 2025 is a short golf blog that looks at one of my favourite tournaments of the golfing calendar.
Every year I look forward to watching this tournament because, for me, it marks the end of the golfing season.
The stress of another year is behind me and I can start catching up on other things in life.
But first, let me explain what The Alfred Dunhill Links Championships 2025 actually is.
The Format
The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is held over the same three golf courses, each year.
These golf courses are The Old Course, St Andrews, Kingsbarns Golf Links and Carnoustie Championship Links.
It is a great tournament to visit as it tends to be smaller crowds, which gets you closer to the action.
This year it will be held between 2nd – 5th October 2025.
There are 168 top Golf Professionals that are teamed up with 168 amateurs.
All golfers play all three courses over Thursday – Saturday and then the top 60 Golf Professionals and ties plus the top 20 teams remain.
The remaining Golfers then play the Old Course on Sunday.
The Prizepot
This year’s prize money is 5 million for the top professionals in the tournament, which is quite good.
The prize money split is 200 thousand for the team event, where most of it goes to charity.
Tickets
The first three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday are free entry which helps promote the event.
Tickets for the final day of the championship must be purchased in advance because it’s not possible to purchase tickets on the gate.
Sunday 5th October, Adults £21.20, Seniors (over 65) £15.90, Students & Under 18’s Free.
