My Bucket List of Golf Courses is a short golf blog post that takes a look at the golf courses that I would love to play while I still can. I often get asked the question, What golf courses would you love to play that you haven’t yet managed to? The answer to this question changes constantly, as I manage to play a few bucket list golf courses per year. But which golf courses are still on my list that I need to play before it’s too late? Well, I have several lists… Scotland, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, USA & Europe. I have narrowed this down to just the top 5 in the UK because otherwise, this could be a very long list. My Bucket List of Golf Courses Scotland top 5 Kingsbarns This has to be on everybody’s list. Golf in Scotland wouldn’t be the same without Kingsbarns. The ultimate golfing experience. I will be hopefully ticking this course off my list next month. Check out their website by clicking this link. Carnoustie Championship It may be nicknamed Carnasty, but that is not putting me off. I am looking forward to being punished by one of the hardest golf courses in Scotland. Find out more on their website. Muirfield One of the hardest golf courses to get on to, but I determined to play there at some point. Ever since Faldo won the Open there in 1987 & 1992 I have had an itch to play it. Soak up the history on their website by clicking this link. Royal Aberdeen I have never played golf in Aberdeen and I would love to start that off with this one. Balgownie Links sounds like my kind of golf course. North Berwick Another huge course that I have yet to play. I can’t wait to play my approach shot at the 13th hole, named ‘Pit’. A similar daunting tee shot, to St Andrews, Old Course awaits you at the 18th with parked cars on the right. England top 5 Sunningdale The Old Course at Sunningdale has long been on my England bucket list. I first saw it on TV coverage of the World Matchplay, back in the day. It has always looked appealing. Woburn The Dunhill British Masters in 1986 sparked my interest in Woburn, especially watching Seve do his magic. I would love to play the Duke’s Course and spend an afternoon in the short game area, it looks amazing. The Berkshire Even though it is not an old course, it looks like it has been there forever. It always looks like it is in stunning condition. Red or Blue, I am not fussy. Can anyone give me advice on which is the better course? St Georges Hill This is the latest addition to my bucket list after only knowing about this course for the last 18 months. It cropped up in conversation at the office and since then I have visited their website too many times. It simply looks phenomenal. Royal St Georges A golf course that has always been on my list since watching Greg Norman win The Open Championship in 1993. I just want to bomb one over the bunker on the 4th hole. Is that such a big deal? I will be continuing this blog post soon by sharing my top 5 bucket list golf courses in Ireland & Northern Ireland. What are your thoughts on My Bucket List of Golf Courses?
