Guide to Golf Rain Gear
2. September 2025

Guide to Golf Rain Gear is a short golf blog post that looks at a range of Waterproof Suits designed for Golfers.
Whether we like it or not, sometimes we get caught out in the rain whilst on the golf course.
When this is the case, golfers should be prepared for the worst weather.
We can do this by carrying a waterproof suit in our bags.
A waterproof suit consists of a jacket and trousers.
It is difficult to choose the best one because there are so many branded waterproof suits available.
Here is my list of great companies making good suits that will stand up to the weather conditions.

Conclusion
Of course, there are many other golf brands available that are offering similar products.
Oscar Jacobson, Ping, ProQuip, Abacus, Mizuno, Zero Restriction, Adidas & Puma, to name but a few.
Through my experience of 35 years in the industry, the following 3 brands are the biggest names in waterproofs.
Sunderland of Scotland
,
Footjoy
&
Galvin Green
are the best-selling waterproofs, but
Druids
is the cheapest.
My advice is to look for clothing that is Seam Sealed and without a Stitched Logo.
A Logo that has been stitched tends to be a weak point where the material is no longer waterproof.
