Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2024

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 2024 is a short golf blog post that takes a look at this year’s tournament. Every year, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is held over the same three golf courses. These golf courses are The Old Course, St Andrews, Kingsbarns Golf Links and Carnoustie Championship Links. It is a fantastic tournament to visit as it tends to be small crowds and this year it will be held between 3rd – 6th October 2024. The Tournament Format This is both an individual professional tournament and also a team event made up of 1 professional and 1 amateur. The teams play one round of golf at all 3 golf courses and those that make the cut play the final round on the Old Course. A total of 60 professionals and the top 20 teams will play on Sunday in St Andrews The prize pot is a total of 4.8 million pounds with the winner receiving a cheque for 816.00 pounds. The Stars at this year’s tournament Include The amateurs are a mix of Pop Stars, Actors & Actresses, TV presenters, Sports Stars and other Celebrities. Pop Stars including Tom Chaplin (Keane), Huey Lewis (Huey Lewis and the News), Tico Torres (Bon Jovi), Mike Rutherford (Genesis & Mike and the Mechanics) and Dave Farrell (Linkin Park) Actors & Actresses including Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kathryn Newton, Andy Garcia and of course Bill Murray. TV Presenters and Celebrities including Piers Morgan & Peter Jones. Sport Stars including Football stars Gareth Bale, Ruud Gullit, Jamie Redknapp. Cricket stars Jimmy Anderson, Allan Lamb, Michael Vaughan, Mark Nicholas and Kevin Pietersen. NFL Star John Elway. Racing Star Sir Anthony (AP) McCoy. Rowing Star and Olympian Steve Redgrave. Rugby Stars including Schalk Burger Jnr, Rob Louw and Morne du Plessis. Surfing Star Kelly Slater.
